Frost

The weather has turned and frost is a daily occurance now forcing us to bring in all of the produce from the fields.  This has caused us to close the weekly U-Pick but has given us a windfall of tomatoes and peppers.  We have green and slowly ripening tomatoes of all heirloom varieties available in bulk quantities- just give us a call or come and see us at the Lafayette and Longmont Farmers Markets.  We will also be bringing our bell, anahiem, sorrano and cayenne peppers to market but if you ...

Longmont Farmers Market

Starting this Saturday 8/22 Veggiescapes will be selling our locally grown produce at the Longmont Farmers Market.  Located at the Boulder County Fairgrounds on Hover in Longmont the Market opens at 8am and runs until 2pm.  Please stop by and see Angela and Jason and get your gardening questions answered.  See you there!

We Can Have Chickens!

Thanks to the City of Longmont, we can now have 4 chicken hens in our backyard.  This is both exciting & scary.  Niether of us has raised chickens before, and we have heard some horror stories...but will not be deterred!  First thing we need is the coop.  This is where we need community help.  Please send us pics & stories of your chicken coops so we can learn & get inspired.   Send your chicken info to veggiescapes@gmail.com & we will update the website as info comes in.  We'll keep you post...
